French animator La Chouette Compagnie hires Studio Hari alum Adeline Tormo

French animation studio La Chouette Compagnie has appointed former Studio Hari exec Adeline Tormo as its new head of sales.

Tormo has been brought on board with a mission to exploit the company’s content and help the company expand its footprint with television channels and digital platforms worldwide as well as build strategic relationships with international partners for coproductions.

She was previously head of sales at Studio Hari, the French animation company behind comedies including The Owl and The Owl & Cie.

Mariam Hachmi, general manager of La Chouette Compagnie, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Adeline to the team. Over the years, Adeline has built a solid profile in the financing and distribution of original creations on the international market.”

Tormo said: “La Chouette Compagnie has built an impressive, diversified and appealing catalogue of projects dedicated to children. I’m happy to join Mariam, Sylvain, Guillaume and their teams in this period of growth, as the company is preparing to launch major new series, including Dragon Strikers for Disney+.”

Tormo will be at next month’s Mipcom in Cannes, presenting a slate that includes Taki Tanuki (52×7′), Poule Mouillette (52×11′) and Theo les bons tuyaux (52×5′).
