Fremantle’s James Meyer joins Radial Entertainment as senior VP of distribution

Radial Entertainment, the company formed last year through the combination of FilmRise and Shout! Studios, has appointed Fremantle exec James Meyer as senior VP of international sales and distribution.

In the newly created role, Meyer will oversee the management of Radial Entertainment’s content library of more than 70,000 movies and episodes. He will also lead the rollout and expansion of international FAST channels in emerging markets.

Meyer will report to Julie Dansker, Radial Entertainment’s co-head of sales, distribution and strategy and exec VP of global licensing and international distribution.

Prior to joining Radial Entertainment, Meyer led the FAST and AVoD distribution of Fremantle’s catalogue outside of North America, a role he took up in May 2024.

Before that, he spent 11 years at ITV Studios in a range of international sales positions. Based in both London and Los Angeles, he played a key role in establishing and scaling ITV Studios’ digital distribution business internationally.

Dansker said: “International markets and platform diversification are fundamental to our strategic growth. James’ extensive expertise in global sales, digital platforms and FAST will be instrumental in advancing our international strategy and expanding our global film and television reach.”
