Fremantle to merge Norwegian prodcos into Monster, Testmann-Koch to exit

Fremantle is merging two of its Norwegian production companies, Monster and Fremantle Norway, and will consolidate them under the Monster label.

Ingvild Daae

The merged entity will be led by the current CEO of Monster, Ingvild Daae, while Petter Testmann-Koch, who has spent almost 10 years as CEO of Fremantle Norway, is stepping down.

Testmann-Koch, who has over 25 years experience in the television industry, will not be a part of the merged Fremantle entity but will be available during the merger process to ensure a smooth transition, Fremantle said.

The merger will create a second Norweigian production powerhouse for Fremantle alongside its Bergehus business, which includes the labels Strix, Rakett and Novemberfilm.

“I believe we will be stronger in the future by gathering passion, creativity and talent in one place and continue to produce world-class drama, documentaries, feature films, factual series, podcasts and entertainment shows,” said Daae.

Fremantle’s CEO for Northern Europe, Georgette Schlick, said the merger would create “an even stronger Norwegian business and team.”
