Formerly editorial director of global drama, Hodge will also assist with strategy management across all other territories, working closely with Fremantle president of global drama Christian Vesper.

In addition, Hodge will team up with De Maio Entertainment founder and CEO Lorenzo De Maio, who has signed an exclusive partnership with Fremantle, to work on company’s drama slate and supervise future coproductions. She will also creatively support producers.

Hodge started her career at Fremantle five years ago as editorial manager of global drama. She previously held positions at BBC Worldwide (now BBC Studios) in a number of distribution roles, ultimately becoming scripted formats manager.

Vesper said: “Julie has proven herself to be an absolute asset to the Global Drama team over the past few years. As our focus on delivering world-class drama and film continues, I felt that Julie, with her knowledge, experience and passion, was best placed to help us on this journey. I know she’ll thrive with her newly expanded remit.”
