Fremantle finds Israel’s Somebody to Love

Find Me Somebody to Love airs on Reshet 13 in Israel

European producer and distributor Fremantle has added a dating format created by Abot Hameiri and Reshet in Israel to its sales slate.

Find Me Somebody to Love has already launched on Reshet 13 in Israel. The format sees four single women put their lives and careers on hold, say goodbye to friends and family, delete their dating apps and move into an apartment together for a whole month.

The participants then choose potential partners from a database compiled by psychologists and dating experts. Once they make their choice, their potential partner moves into the apartment with them for three days where they are observed by a control room of experts who set challenges for them.

At the end of the three days, the women decide whether they want their partners to stay for another three days or if they’d like to meet a new match.

Rob Clark, Fremantle’s director of global entertainment, said: “This format is very different to ones we’ve seen before. It’s a very clever and unique approach to dating.”

Find Me Somebody to Love is the latest dating format from Fremantle, following Too Hot to Handle (Talkback for Netflix); Take Me Out (the global hit produced in 35 territories); Five Guys a Week (currently in season two in the UK, with adaptations soon to air in Sweden, France, Denmark and Canada); and Farmer Wants a Wife (made in 32 territories around the world).
