Fremantle, 72 Films team for Emma Hayes feature doc Emma: One Last Dance

Emma: One Last Dance will premiere at the Raindance Film Festival

European production group Fremantle and London-based factual specialist 72 Films are teaming up on feature doc Emma: One Last Dance, chronicling the career of football manager Emma Hayes.

From her humble beginnings on a North London council estate to becoming one of the most successful managers in the women’s game, the film highlights Hayes’ relentless determination and transformative influence on the sport.

It follows her through a final season managing Chelsea, trying to win the UEFA Champions League title before leaving to manage the US national team.

The film features intimate interviews with family, football legends like Sir Alex Ferguson and Ian Wright, alongside Chelsea players including England and Chelsea Captain Millie Bright and striker Sam Kerr.

The documentary will have its World premiere at Raindance Film Festival (June 18 – 27)

The announcement follows the recent launch of Fremantle’s new sports division. Fremantle Sports has a focus on non-scripted and factual documentaries, and new digital formats.
