Travels With The Bondi Vet was among the launch shows on Life Down Under

Branded as Life Down Under, the specialist Aussie lifestyle and factual channel has been launched in countries including the UK, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

Derek Dyson

Derek Dyson, chief commercial officer at Fred’s parent company, WTFN Group, brokered the deal with South Korean smart TV manufacturer LG following a successful launch of the initiative in Australia and New Zealand on Samsung and Hisense TVs.

“This new deal with LG showcases some of the very best Fred Media and WTFN content and meets a real demand from Australians living in Europe and European viewers keen to have a constant stream of top-rated, authentically Aussie series at their fingertips,” Dyson said.

All the content featured is exclusively from the Fred Media catalogue and includes productions by WTFN. Titles at launch include Travels With the Bondi Vet, Keeping Up With the Joneses, Lee Chan’s World Food Tour, Tattoo Tales and Tony Robinson’s Time Walks.

Other WTFN series to be added soon include Paramedics, Emergency, Mega Zoo, Space Invaders, Sydney Harbour Force and Code 1: Minute by Minute. The Life Down Under programming has already been shown by Australian broadcasters including Seven, Nine, Ten, ABC, Foxtel and SBS.

Fred Media and WTFN’s long-running title Bondi Vet already has its own successful FAST channel in Australia and New Zealand managed by the company. WTFN also recently struck a global partnership with Blue Ant Media that will include Bondi Vet as a flagship title on its expanding FAST channel Love Pets.
