Frank Scheuermann to lead unscripted at Endemol Shine Boomdog

Former Alibi Films and Televisa executive Frank Scheuermann has joined Banijay’s Mexico City-based subsidiary Endemol Shine Boomdog as senior VP and head of unscripted.

Scheuermann, who was most recently head of Mexico for Alibi Films, has previously collaborated with Endemol Shine Boomdog on series including Quien es la Mascara?, Me caigo de Risa and Familias Frente al Fuego.

Prior to joining Alibi, Scheuermann was head of non-scripted formats for Mexico’s Televisa from 2017 to 2020, during which time he oversaw production and served as an executive producer on projects such as Bake Off Mexico (HBO Max), Inseparables (Televisa) and Quien es la Mascara? (Canal RCN).

Before that, he led Sony/Teleset’s Bogota-based unscripted team from 2012 to 2016, exec producing and leading production on series including Popstars, Factor XF, Colombia’s Got Talent and Who Wants to be a Millionaire? He was also head of development and production for Keshet International from 2016 to 2017.

“There are not many executives in all of Latin America with as much unscripted TV experience as Frank brings with him to our team here at Boomdog,” said Endemol Shine Boomdog CEO Alejandro Rincon.

“We have a long, successful relationship working with him on many of our top series and we are thrilled that he will be leading our unscripted team as we continue to ramp up our production efforts in the new year.”

Endemol Shine Boomdog, the Spanish-language division of Banijay Americas, produces programming for the US Hispanic and Mexican television markets. Programming produced under the Endemol Shine Boomdog banner includes Mira Quien Baila (Univision), MasterChef Mexico (TV Azteca), Me Caigo de Risa (Televisa), Nicky Jam: El Ganador (Netflix) and Se Rentan Cuartos (Comedy Central Latinoamerica).
