France’s Treehouse Stories told around world

The Treehouse Stories has been renewed for a fourth season

Almost two-dozen international and domestic buyers have picked up French preschool series The Treehouse Stories (La Cabane à Histoires) from producer/distributor Dandelooo.

The Treehouse Stories (103×7’) was originally commissioned by French pay TV broadcaster Canal+ for its linear Piwi+ and Canal+ channels and VoD app My Canal.

The latest international buyers to have picked up the animated show include RTS (Switzerland), children’s streaming service Hopster (UK), ETB (Spain), TVN (Chile), OkkoTV (Russia), French Canadian public media company TFO, Good TV (Taiwan), US Hispanic broadcaster HITN, and Argentinian kids’ channel Pakapaka,

Pubcasters ERR (Estonia), HRT (Croatia), RTP (Portugal), Ceska Televize (Czech Republic) and LTV (Latvia) have also taken The Treehouse Stories, as have North American streaming platform Ameba, global streamer Da Vinci Kids, kids’ media company Azoomee and MENA’s Majid Kids.

Domestic buyers include SVoD service Tfou Max, broadcaster OCS and edutainment app Bayam. Canal+ has renewed the series for a fourth season comprising 26 episodes and set to air in Q4 2022.

France-based Dandelooo produces the series in collaboration with local animator Caribara Production, Belgian broadcaster RTBF and Belgian prodco Bardaf! Productions.

The show is about a group of young friends who meet in a treehouse to secretly share their favourite books with each other, showcasing kids’ books from all over the world. So far, the series has aired in more than 160 territories.
