France’s Pernel Media hires former Mediawan exec Jean-Marc Rouhette as COO

Paris-based prodco Pernel Media has appointed Mediawan exec Jean-Marc Rouhette as chief operating officer.

In the newly created role, Rouhette will assume responsibility for business affairs, finance and production management. He will also work on developing the company’s activities in the scripted, digital and brand content arenas.

Rouhette was most recently head of productions at Mediawan, which he joined in January 2021. While there he spearheaded multiple companies across factual and scripted genres with overall responsibility for the production process, strategic optimisation and contacts with broadcasters and suppliers.

Prior to Mediawan, Rouhette was head of productions at Lagardère Studios, where he worked for six years.

Rouhette’s appointment comes after Pernel Media hired former Arte Distribution head Celine Payot Lehmann as international executive producer.
