France TV sells Peanuts

The distribution arm of pubcaster France Télévisions is to shop 500 90-second animated shorts based on the Peanuts comic strip.

The new series featuring iconic characters Charlie Brown and Snoopy will be available this fall from France Télévisions Distribution.

France Télévisions is currently coproducing the series, which is based on the 18,000 daily comic strips created by Charles M Schulz, with local prodco Normaal Animation.

France 3 will broadcast the toon, which is also available in a 104×7′ format, to coincide with the release of the Peanuts animated feature film in 2015.
