Foxtel, TVNZ set for New Life in the Country with Hat Trick Int’l show

Sarah Beeny’s New Life in the Country

Australian pay TV broadcaster Foxtel and Kiwi broadcaster TVNZ are among the international outlets to have picked up factual entertainment series Sarah Beeny’s New Life in the Country from UK-based distributor Hat Trick International.

Both seasons of the show, produced by Outline Productions for the UK’s Channel 4, have been picked up by TVNZ and Foxtel for its LifeStyle channel.

Denmark’s TV2, Greece’s Tanweer Alliances, AMC Networks Hungary, Africa’s The Home Channel, Thailand’s Cineplex and M6 Group’s AVoD platform 6play in France have also taken the series.

BBC Studios meanwhile, has taken the first 8×60’ season for BBC Earth in Poland. The show follows property expert Sarah Beeny and her family as they settle into a new home in the British countryside.

BBC Studios has also licensed Britain’s Beautiful Rivers with Richard Hammond from Hat Trick for BBC Earth in Poland and Africa.

Produced for Channel 4 by Cardiff Productions, the 4×60’ series offers a new perspective of the Severn, Test, Clyde and Derwent rivers. It is also heading for Australia in a deal with pubcaster SBS.
