Foxtel recasts for sixth Australian Bake Off

The Great Australian Bake Off’s Claire Hooper, Maggie Beer, Matt Moran and Mel Buttle

NEWS BRIEF: Australian pay TV broadcaster Foxtel has greenlit a sixth season of The Great Australian Bake Off with BBC Studios Production Australia and New Zealand, but judges Maggie Beer and Matt Moran will not return.

Filming will commence in Sydney this month with the 10-episode season six premiering on Foxtel in 2023. The broadcaster has made the decision to recast not only the judges but also hosts Mel Buttle and Claire Hooper. The show is based on the Love Productions UK format which currently airs on Channel 4 and is sold worldwide by BBC Studios.
