Foxtel Group’s content and channels exec Wendy Moore to leave after six years

Wendy Moore, Foxtel Group in Australia’s executive director of entertainment content and channels, is stepping down after six years in the role.

In an email to staff today, Foxtel chief Hilary Perchard confirmed the departure, with Moore agreeing to work with the group until the end of this year.

Moore was also on-air talent for Foxtel series Selling Houses Australia and has stated she will continue on that front. The series is currently in production on its 18th season.

“We are already underway with a local and international search for her replacement. We are looking for someone who shares Wendy’s passion for entertainment and lifestyle, her dedication to people and commitment to delivering the very best for our audiences,” Perchard said to staff.

Moore said leaving the group was an “incredibly difficult decision” but that she will now be pursuing a new, as-yet-undisclosed business venture.

“The past six years have been an incredible experience, both personally and professionally. I have loved my time at Foxtel and have been privileged to work with many talented people on many incredible productions and projects. After six years, now is the right time in my life for a change to start a new business venture in an area that I am passionate about.”

Moore joined Foxtel is 2019 as general manager of the LifeStyle Group, where she led the relaunch and rebranding of the LifeStyle channels. In 2023, her role expanded to oversee all of Foxtel’s owned and operated suite of channels, including content operations. Most recently, Moore added the production of original scripted and unscripted shows to her remit.

Perchard said Moore’s ability to “balance creativity with strategic execution has been a hallmark of her leadership, and her contributions have set new benchmarks for excellence across our business and world-class productions.”
