Fox reinvestigates Accused, Alert: Missing Persons Unit

NEWS BRIEF: US commercial broadcaster Fox has renewed crime anthology series Accused and procedural Alert: Missing Persons Unit for second seasons, both coproduced by Sony Pictures Television and Fox Entertainment.

Based on UK pubcaster the BBC’s drama of the same name, the first season of the Fox version of Accused premiered in January this year and was the network’s highest-rated drama debut in two years. Alert: Missing Persons Unit also debuted in January and is co-created and exec produced by John Eisendrath and actor/singer Jamie Foxx. Carla Kettner will serve as showrunner of season two.
