Fox Kids Lat-Am to launch nocturnal block

Fox Kids Latin America is launching a late-night programming block on June 11, designed to help adult insomniacs make it through the night.

Airing from 23:00 to 06:00, the new Insomnio block will feature a mix of classic and cult cartoons as well as live-action series.

{Recent ratings prove that when kids grow up, their viewing preferences as adults don't necessarily change radically,{ said Emiliano Calemzuk, vice president and general manager of Fox Kids Latin America.

He added: {We are convinced that Insomnio will be a special treat for loyal Fox Kids viewers, as well as cater to an adult audience that appreciates the classics.{

The block kicks off with Marvel Comics' animated Fantastic Four, followed by The Incredible Hulk, Spiderman and his Amazing Friends, the Spiderwoman series and the Stan Lee-created series X-Men.

At 00:30, two episodes of the 60s hit series Batman, the live-action pop culture phenomena which starred Adam West and Burt Ward, unspool. This is followed by a 60-minute serving of Woody Woodpecker.

For viewers still awake at 02:30, the line-up includes Angela Anaconda, Mega Babies, Oggy and the Cockroaches, and Steven Spielberg's Toonsylvania.

The late-night Insomnio block will come packaged with a retro-style adaptation of its futuristic and iconic Fox Kids graphics.
