Fox Entertainment in the US is acquiring Gordon Ramsay’s production company from All3Media and launching a new international venture with the TV chef, as part of an overall deal announced today.

Studio Ramsay Global will be co-owned by Fox Entertainment and Ramsay, who will run the firm. It will develop, produce and distribute culinary and lifestyle programming.

The new entity will acquire 100% of Ramsay’s current television business, Studio Ramsay, which launched in 2016, from All3Media with Fox funding the purchase.

The new company will have offices in both London and Los Angeles and will serve as the exclusive production home for all new series featuring and/or produced by Ramsay.

Fox Entertainment’s in-house unscripted studio, Fox Alternative Entertainment, run by president of alternative entertainment and specials Rob Wade, will oversee the production of all new programmes that emerge from the venture.

This includes the forthcoming cooking competition series Next Level Chef, which has been commission by Fox in the US. Ramsay has previously starred in the US version of MasterChef and Hell’s Kitchen for the network.

Content for other platforms both internationally and in the US will continue to be produced, with Studio Ramsay chief creative officer Lisa Edwards broadening her responsibilities with the newly formed company.

“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity, not just for me but for the team at Studio Ramsay. We’ll be creating food and lifestyle ideas but also developing an incredible new talent pool of food, drink and industry leaders to create our own culinary talent branch,” said Ramsay.

Wade and Ramsay will form the company’s inaugural board of directors along with Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier.
