Fox doubles down on Bento Box animation Krapopolis before first season airs

Krapopolis is Fox’s first wholly owned animated series

Fox Entertainment has ordered a second season of Dan Harmon’s adult animated series Krapopolis in advance of its premiere in 2023.

The comedy series, produced by Fox’s animation studio Bento Box Entertainment, is the US broadcast network’s first wholly owned animated series.

The action is set in mythical ancient Greece, where a dysfunctional family of humans, gods and monsters are attempting to run the world’s first cities.

Among the voice talent attached to the project are Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd), Matt Berry (What We Do In The Shadows), Pam Murphy (Mapleworth Murders) and Duncan Trussell (The Midnight Gospel).

Krapopolis, which is being launched internationally at Mipcom by recently formed sales arm Fox Entertainment Global, is created and exec produced by Harmon (Rick & Morty, Community) under his direct animation deal with Fox Entertainment.
