Four execs move to new roles in Xilam Animation production arm reshuffle

Xilam Animation has rejigged its production division with new roles for Dorothée Lanchier, Jean Cayrol, Cécile Hergaux-Essame and Valentin Moriceau.

Dorothée Lanchier

Lanchier, currently Xilam’s chief operating officer, has been appointed as deputy MD in charge of development and production for the Xilam group.

In this role, she will develop and manage the group’s creative and production strategy, reporting to Marc du Pontavice, Xilam’s CEO.

Cayrol, a creator/director at Xilam Studio, has been appointed creative director of the group and will be responsible for managing all artistic matters, including development and production, for kids’ series produced by Xilam.

He will also report to du Pontavice, who retains responsibility for adult-skewing formats and feature films at Xilam.

Hergaux-Essame, currently head of Cube Creative, a subsidiary of Xilam, has been appointed executive VP to oversee all Xilam’s studios and lead the supervising and coordinating of all the group’s production resources. She will report to Lanchier.

Valentin Moriceau, currently head of research and development (R&D) at Cube Creative, has been appointed executive VP of R&D at Xilam and will head the research and technical development department. He will also report to Lanchier.

Xilam said the changes were made at the beginning of 2022 to prepare for “market growth in coming years, both in terms of volume and in value, and in particular on platforms.”
