Toronto-based production outfit Forté Entertainment has promoted Veronica Saluzzi to VP of development and hired Blue Ant Media alum Kelsey Espensen as development producer.

Saluzzi has been with the company since 2020, helping to shape a slate that includes My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story (Paramount+/Oxygen/Hearst UK), Beyond Demure with Jools Lebron (in partnership with Viral Nation), How I Got Here (BYUtv US, Super Channel Heart & Home Canada) and The Death Coast (History US/Crave).

With her promotion, which was announced by Forté co-founders Andrea and Mitchell Gabourie, Saluzzi will continue to lead development of original content and formats.

Espensen comes to Forté after serving as senior director of unscripted entertainment at Blue Ant Media, and prior to that as director of development at Marblemedia, which was bought by Blue Ant in 2023. During her time at those companies, she worked on titles including Race Against the Tide (CBC/CBC Gem), Best in Miniature (CBC Gem/Discovery+ UK & Ireland), A Cut Above (Discovery Canada, Discovery US, A&E UK) and Drink Masters (Netflix).

Launched a decade ago, Forté is behind series and formats including Snapshots, Zoink’d, Life Story Project, Stitched, The Death Coast and How I Got Here, the latter of which earned two Daytime Emmy nominations for best travel/adventure programme and best multiple camera editing.
