Former WBD exec Ricardo Pichetto joins Chilevisión as production director

Former Warner Bros Discovery executive Ricardo Pichetto will join Chilean channel Chilevisión as production director on February 9.

The news was first revealed by El Filtrador, which indicated that Pichetto will replace Andrea Dell’Orto, until now the channel’s director of production, operations and engineering.

The appointment coincides with a new stage for Chilevisión, which was recently acquired by Vytal Group from Paramount.

Vytal Group is a holding company headed by Tomás Yankelevich, Jorge Carey and Edgar Spielmann, and closed the purchase of the channel on January 12.

One of the first decisions of the new owners was the departure of Juan “Iñaki” Vicente as executive director of the channel.

Pichetto has already had a previous stint at Chilevisión when the channel was owned by Turner. The Argentine executive was also previously content director of Argentine production company Cuatrocabezas and MD of Warner Bros International Television Production in Buenos Aires.

Dell’Orto’s career, meanwhile, includes stints at Mega as director of production and operations, Canal 13 as producer and production manager, TVN as general producer and La Red, also as general producer.
