The move follows an agreement with former Suma Content executive Beltrán Gortázar, who will not only lead the project as CEO but has also been appointed VP of strategy for the YouPlanet group itself.

In its market launch, the company defined YouPlanet Studios as “a new creative and production space” focused on developing series, films, and entertainment formats for global audiences.

“It’s very exciting to lead this new era, where, with the strength of the YouPlanet group and YouPlanet Studios, we are uniquely positioned to design, produce, and distribute content that crosses three axes: global reach, quality stories, and the best talent in the industry, always committed to innovation, both in narratives and in the industry’s processes,” said Gortázar.

The executive has more than 15 years of experience in areas such as strategic business growth and digital transformation, with experience at companies such as Google, YouTube, and Coca-Cola. Additionally, during his time as CEO of Suma Content, he promoted renowned series such as Messiah, Superstar, and Cardo.

“With YouPlanet Studios, we are opening a new era for the group: we are strengthening our ability to generate content with a global vision, focusing on an integrated model that connects talent, quality content, and scale. This move positions us more strongly in a rapidly evolving industry and reaffirms our commitment to creators as the driving force behind everything we do,” said Luis de Val, president of YouPlanet.

Under the agreement, the audiovisual project that Gortázar had been developing independently since leaving Suma Content is now integrated into YouPlanet’s structure, which includes “a roster of IPs in development with top-level talent” focused on cultivating “innovation applied to the audiovisual sector,” according to the company.
