Former BBC Studios exec Brad Horvath named VP of content sales at Boat Rocker Studios

Former BBC Studios exec Brad Horvath has joined Canada’s Boat Rocker as VP of content sales for its studios division.

In the LA-based role, Horvath will lead distribution of the company’s scripted and feature documentary content in the US and Latin America.

He will also support Boat Rocker’s overall sales strategy and report to Jon Rutherford, president of global rights, franchise and content strategy at Boat Rocker Studios.

Horvath most recently managed sales and partnerships for BBC Studios in LA, overseeing a roster of scripted shows, factual entertainment series and docs. Before that, he held sales and acquisitions roles at BBC Studios Canada, Cineflix Rights and Ouat Media.

“As a well-respected executive, with deep industry relationships and strong knowledge of the current marketplace, Brad will be an invaluable resource as we continue growing our global distribution business,” said Rutherford.
