Folivari Int’l to take YA toon Samuel worldwide

NEWS BRIEF: Folivari International, the recently launched sales arm of French prodco Folivari, has acquired the global distribution rights to young adult-focused animated series Samuel.

Produced by Paris prodco Les Valseurs, Samuel centres on the life of the titular character, tackling themes including childhood and adolescence and life in a small town. The 2D series was pitched at Cartoon Forum in 2021 and picked up by France’s Arte, where it has garnered more than 35 million views on arte.tv and its social media channels in France and Germany. It also airs on RTVE and TV3 in Spain and has been showcased on TikTok.
