FME bags Britney biog

FremantleMedia Enterprises has snapped up the worldwide television and DVD rights, excluding the US, to @Radical Media TV’s Britney: For The Record.

The 1×90′ special claims to show the troubled pop star in her first ever official biographical TV appearance, as she prepares to make her comeback.

The show is set to premiere on MTV North America on November 30.

The distribution deal was brokered by David Ellender, CEO of FME, and Robert Friedman, president of media and entertainment for @Radical Media.

The special is executive-produced by Friedman, Jon Kamen, Adam Leber, Larry Rudolph, Frank Scherma and Justin Wilkes, with Andrew Fried as producer.

Ellender said: “Britney Spears is a global icon and through this opportunity to work alongside @Radical Media we aim to showcase to an international audience an emotional and rare portrait of a hugely misunderstood personality.”

FME and @Radical Media already share a first-look development deal for worldwide distribution across all platforms.
