Finland’s Elisa adds live sports, kids’ shows, films and series in extended Viaplay deal

Political thriller Furia starts with a murder in a Norwegian town

Finnish telecoms company Elisa has extended its multi-year distribution agreement with Scandinavia’s Viaplay Group.

The renewed deal gives Elisa customers access to Viaplay’s live sports programming, kids’ shows, films and series via the Viaplay streaming service and TV channels.

According to Elisa, the agreement includes packaging updates to “support a more targeted and streamlined content experience” than previously, “tailored to evolving viewing habits and customer preferences” across its TV and streaming platforms.

Live sports programming available on Viaplay includes Formula 1 racing and Premier League football, while original Viaplay series include the thriller Furia.
