FilmRise, NENT enter licensing agreement

NEWS BRIEF: US distributor FilmRise and Nordic Entertainment Group’s production and distribution business NENT Studios UK have entered into a partnership that includes the licensing of more than 500 hours of content.

Under the deal, FilmRise has acquired all digital rights, including SVoD and AVoD, for the content package in both North and South America. Programmes include Channel 4 comedies Peep Show, Black Books and Shameless. It also has the exclusive ad-supported rights to the first six seasons of ITV medical drama Doc Martin.
