Fifth Season hires Amazon Studios alum Jill Arthur, promotes Noah Greenshner

LA-based studio Fifth Season (fka Endeavor Content) has hired former Amazon Studios exec Jill Arthur as executive VP, TV development and production, in addition to promoting senior TV exec Noah Greenshner.

Arthur arrives at Fifth Season after spending nine years at Amazon Studios, most recently as senior development and programming executive.

During her tenure at Amazon, Arthur oversaw series including The Power, Expats, Hanna, With Love, The Wilds, The Tick, Red Oaks, Catastrophe and Forever, in addition to overseeing creative for the acquisition of Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers. Before joining Amazon, she did stints at Weintraub Productions, where she was part of the early development for HBO’s Westworld, Garry Hart/Canyon Road Productions, John Wells Productions and ICM.

Greenshner has been promoted to executive VP of TV development and production, after formerly serving as senior VP of TV development and production.

The former Legendary exec joined Fifth Season’s TV studio when it was first launched in 2018. During his time with the company, he has shepherded shows such as workplace thriller Severance (Apple TV+), which recently went into production on its second season, in addition to Nine Perfect Strangers and Fifth Season’s first genre series Wolf Like Me (Peacock).

Both Arthur and Greenshner will work closely with Fifth Season’s president of TV development and production Joe Hipps. In addition to managing the portfolio of series, they will oversee the roster of talent deals including Amy Adams’s Bond Group Entertainment, Bill Dubuque, Brad Weston’s MakeReady and Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories.

Fifth Season is currently in production on historical drama Chief of War starring Jason Momoa and limited series Lady in the Lake, which is based on a novel of the same name and stars Natalie Portman and Moses Ingram. Both series are for Apple TV+.
