FIC adds to South Africa line-up

Fox International Channels (FIC) is set to launch three more of its networks on pay TV platform Star Sat in South Africa.

FIC already operates its flagship Fox on the network as well as FX, BabyTV and Fuel, and will now add Fox Crime, Nat Geo Gold and Fox Movies in the territory.

Fox Crime brings true crime and investigation stories through factual programming while Nat Geo Gold showcases some of National Geographic Channel’s highest rated series, including Dog Whisperer and Air Crash Investigation. Fox Movies airs classic titles from Fox’s catalogue.

Plans to launch an additional lifestyle channel are already in the works, according to a statement from FIC announcing the roll out.

Star Sat is owned by local player On Digital Media. FIC recently completed the purchase of a controlling stake in South African sportscaster Setanta Africa.
