The series is written and produced by Agatha Christie and Eastenders writer Sarah Phelps, with Polly Williams and Arielle Gottlieb serving as executive producers for Federation UK.

Headquartered in London, Federation UK, which focuses on premium drama and female-led projects. was founded in August.

Williams is the company’s MD, while Gottlieb is creative director. Both joined Federation UK from eOne.

Williams and Gottlieb said: “We both devoured Jackie Collins’s books when we were young women, so when Sarah Phelps told us Lovers & Gamblers was one of her favourite novels, the idea of bringing these two extraordinary female creators together was absolutely thrilling. It finally feels like it’s the right time for people to take Jackie Collins and women’s popular fiction seriously.”
