Federation puts together Torn deal

Torn is set to launch later this year

SERIES MANIA: French producer and distributor Federation Entertainment has acquired international rights to a psychological thriller made for France 3.

Torn (aka Soupçons, 6×52′) is coproduced by Elephant and AT-Productions with France Télévisions, and has producers Gaëlle Cholet and Guillaume Renouil attached. It’s set to debut later this year on France 3 and RTBF in Belgium.

It was co-created by director Lionel Bailliu alongside Yann Le Gal, with the cast including Julie Gayet, Bruno Debrandt, Thomas Jouannet and Marie Dompnier.

The story follows an elementary school teacher who, after moving to a small village with her husband and their two children, finds a former lover calling at her door who then mysteriously disappears.

The show, which is being screened at Series Mania in Lille this week, is the first Elephant series to be distributed by Federation following a strategic agreement announced by both companies last autumn.
