Federation International to represent distributor Lucky You’s doc catalogue

Paris-based Federation International, the distribution arm of Federation Studios, will represent the catalogue of doc distributor Lucky You, part of Federation Studios’ Bonne Pioche.

The move comes as Lucky You’s founder and CEO Robert Salvestrin, who launched the company in 2014, leaves to focus on new business ventures. Agnès Baldachino Costa, Lucky You’s producer liaison and head of technical, remains with the company and will work closely with Federation International’s sales execs Ilan Sarfati and Raphaël Blin.

Lucky You’s doc portfolio features over 800 hours of programming produced by around 30 European production companies, including Bonne Pioche. Its catalogue includes one-off films and series including Kheops: Mysterious Discoveries, Origami Code, Science vs Terrorism, Who Killed the Neanderthal? and science documentary Into the Night, for France Télévisions.

Federation International will now handle presales and sales, with Lucky You continuing its activities through the partnership. With this addition, Federation International’s doc offering has now increased from 90 to 900 hours.
