Federation follows The Star of Andra & Tati

The Star of Andra & Tati will launch at MipJunior next month

French distributor Federation Kids & Family has picked up global distribution rights to an Italian animation featuring two sisters sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp during the Second World War.

Federation has struck the deal with RaiCom, the sales arm of Italian pubcaster Rai TV, for the international sales rights to The Star of Andra & Tati. The 1×26’ film tells the true story of two sisters who were sent to Auschwitz and survived to be reunited with their family in Italy.

The film is produced by Rai Ragazzi and Larcadarte in cooperation with the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities & Research, and directed by Rosalba Vitellaro and Alessandro Belli.

Federation will now shop the series outside of Italy, beginning with MipJunior in Cannes next month.

“The Star of Andra & Tati encapsulates an incredible story of endurance and survival in the form of a powerfully emotive and visually entrancing animation, which targets kids who are old enough to understand the consequences of the war,” said Monica Levy, senior VP of international sales at Federation Kids & Family.
