Federation dons Italian fashion drama

French producer and distributor Federation Entertainment has added an eight-part drama focused on Italy’s greatest fashion designers to its sales slate.

Made in Italy has been produced by Taodue Film and The Family for Mediaset in Italy and focuses on the birth of the country’s fashion industry in the 1970s.

Shooting has just commenced on the 8×52’ series, which will air on Mediaset’s Canale 5. Federation holds the worldwide rights.

The drama will see model Greta Ferro make her screen debut, starring alongside Margherita Buy. The plot follows the story of Irene (Ferro), a daughter of Southern Italian immigrants, who swiftly rises up the ranks at fashion magazine Appeal after initially taking an entry-level position to finance her college studies.
