Federation, Authentic take Bussi’s Time

French producer Authentic Prod and Federation Entertainment, the firm behind Netflix drama Marseille, have picked up TV rights to Michel Bussi’s latest novel Le Temps est Assassin (Time is a Killer).

The deal, agreed with French publishing house Presses de la Cité, will see an 8×52′ event series coproduced by Aline Besson and Isabelle Drong at Authentic along with Federation’s Pascal Breton.

The novel, which has sold more than 220,000 copies since it launched earlier this year, is set in Corsica and follows a woman who suffers a tragic accident resulting in the loss of her family.

Federation will be coproducer and international distributor for the show, which is the latest to see Breton and Besson join forces after they previously worked together on French drama Dolmen.
