Butch Hartman Studios (BHS) employs more than 40 animation crew members, including artists who have worked on previous Hartman shows.

Taylor Bradbury will serve as senior producer at the new outfit, overseeing a slate of privately funded projects.

Hartman is well known as the creative brains behind Nickelodeon series such as Danny Phantom, Bunsen is a Beast and The Fairly OddParents.

The illustrator, writer and producer’s first project for BHS is the second season of The Garden Cartoon, a religious cartoon that teaches kids the gospel in a fun way.

The studio’s development slate also includes Little Harp, about a guardian angel school preparing recruits to help kids on Earth; Dragon Drive-Thru, focused on fire-breathing lizards who run a fast-food stand; and Family Fusion, about two science-obsessed families.

Hartman said: “Our mandate is to provide safe entertainment where kids can be enthralled, excited and encouraged to set their imaginations free. My Christian faith has convinced me that in a world of almost unbearable uncertainty, the importance of fun and empowering kids’ entertainment has never been more profound.”
