Factual specialist Plum Pictures sets up regional hub to handle new series orders

What Not to Eat provides a guide to ultra-processed foods

London-based prodco Plum Pictures (Amazing Spaces) is opening a new UK regional office in the city of Brighton and revealed three new series commissions.

Plum Brighton will be the production home of two series for UK public service broadcaster Channel 4.

What Not to Eat (season two) will again see Professor Tim Spector and Dr Kandi Ejiofor help viewers navigate the world of ultra-processed foods. The second, What Not to Eat: Supermarket Swaps, is a four-part spin-off.

Meanwhile, the prodco’s Kevin McCloud’s Listed Britain will air on More4. It sees the Grand Designs presenter travel the UK to uncover the stories behind remarkable structures such as Coventry Cathedral and the penguin pool at London Zoo.

Factual specialist Plum Pictures is also behind shows such as Mr & Mrs Murder (Hulu/Disney+) and James May’s Great Explorers (5).

Last November, senior TV executives paid tribute to Plum Pictures’ co-founder Will Daws, who died suddenly at the age of 57.
