Factual formats Question Team, Family Dinner Date lead Keshet Int’l MipTV slate

International distributor Keshet International (KI) has added UK comedy quizshow format Question Team and Israeli divorcee dating format Family Dinner Date to its slate ahead of MipTV, in addition to several non-English-language dramas and factual series.

In Question Team, produced by Interstellar for UKTV’s Dave, three comedians set questions for each other based on their own interests. Hosted by Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd), the show was recently renewed by UKTV and the finished tape has also been sold into Australia (SBS) and New Zealand (TVNZ).

Family Dinner Date, produced by Artza Productions for Keshet 12 in Israel, follows celebrities looking for love as they invite two singletons two join them for dinner.

KI has also acquired sales rights to Ellie Simmonds: A World Without Dwarfism? (1×60’, Flicker Productions), in which British Paralympian Ellie Simmonds travels around the UK and US to examine a new drug that promises to increase the growth rate in children born with achondroplasia, the most common form of dwarfism. The doc is scheduled to premiere on BBC One on April 5.

The company is also distributing the finished tape of Channel 4 factual series Scotland: Escape to the Wilderness (4×60’, Hello Halo Productions), which follows British celebrities including Martin Clunes and Ben Miller as they get up close and personal with Scotland’s wildlife and scenery.

KI has also bolstered its catalogue of non-English-language dramas with the acquisition of format and finished tape rights to Finnish drama-comedy Roomies (10×60’, Dionysus Films). The project was recently renewed for a second season by CMore and MTV Finland.

In addition, KI has picked up the format and finished tape rights to Belgian thriller Storm Lara (4×30’/1×120’, A Perfect View), which was produced for Flemish streaming service Streamz.

Elsewhere, KI has taken the format and finished tape rights (outside Asia) to DCU: Deep Crime Unit (10×60’), described as the “world’s first scuba diving crime procedural.” Co-developed by KI and Facet4 Media for TBS in Japan, the project follows a group of highly skilled scuba experts who are also cops and forensic specialists.

As well as these new titles, KI will be shopping existing content including season three of Israeli thriller False Flag (8×60’, Spiro Films), season six of factual series World’s Most Evil Killers (20×60’, Woodcut Media) and season three of Israeli romantic comedy-drama The Baker & the Beauty (4×60’).
