Eyeworks exec takes AMC role

Cablenet AMC in the US is bolstering its unscripted team with the appointment of an executive from Eyeworks USA.

Tracey Lentz, who becomes VP of unscripted programming at the AMC Networks-owned channel, will be responsible for developing new series, based in Los Angeles.

Reporting to senior VP of unscripted programming Eliot Goldberg, she will be the network’s West Coast equivalent to Marco Bresaz, who joined in December and works out of New York.

At Eyeworks (fka 3Ball Productions), Lentz was most recently VP of development for the production company, working on shows including Celebrity Splash for ABC, Syfy’s Opposite Worlds and Oxygen’s My Big Fat Revenge.

She previously worked for ABC Media Productions and Current TV, as well as holding posts at TLC and Showtime Networks.

AMC which first dipped its toe into the unscripted waters in 2011 with Talking Dead, a live show to complement drama Walking Dead. It has since aired Comic Book Men, The Pitch and Small Town Security.
