Ex-Turner exec resurfaces at Viacom

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Northern Europe has hired Turner Broadcasting’s former chief operating officer in EMEA to oversee its brands.

Pete Flamman, who left Turner after 14 years in 2014, has been named senior VP of brands in Northern Europe.

Based in Amsterdam, Flamman will report to Magnus Kastner, executive VP and MD of VIMN Northern Europe.

The newly created role will see the exec responsible for brands including MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central in countries such as the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden.

He will have “operational management of acquisitions and content operations, programming and creative and brand development,” VIMN said.

Flamman filled various roles during his Turner stint, initially joining as VP of business development and ultimately becoming senior VP and COO for the EMEA region, as well as MD of Turner’s kids brands.
