Ex-Starz Int’l boss Superna Kalle to lead strategy, content at gaming firm Aristocrat

Superna Kalle at Content London 2022

Former president of Starz International Superna Kalle is changing lanes with a new role as chief strategy and content officer at Australia-headquartered gaming solutions and gambling tech company Aristocrat.

The appointment comes six months after Kalle left Lionsgate-owned Starz, where she had spent the previous five years building out the company’s international SVoD business.

Before Starz, Kalle spent 16 years with Sony Pictures Entertainment, most recently as senior VP and general manager of US networks.

In her new LA-based role, which starts on October 9, Kalle will report to Aristocrat CEO and MD Trevor Croker.

Based out of Australia and with operations in more than 20 global markets, Aristocrat is an entertainment and content creation company that uses its tech platform to deliver mobile and casino games to millions of players globally.

In a statement, Croker said Kalle’s appointment will “contribute significantly to Aristocrat’s future success in leveraging its industry-leading intellectual property across its operations.”

“Superna is a global digital media executive with more than 20 years of experience driving transformational growth, both as an operational and strategy leader,” he said.

“Superna has a track record of maximising the strategic value of content across a range of consumer media verticals. I look forward to her contribution and congratulate her warmly on her appointment.”

Kalle said in a LinkedIn post: “I’ve had a wonderful few months off where I recharged, traveled, and spent time with family and friends. Looking forward to new challenges and opportunities in the gaming industry.”
