Former Netflix executives Isadora Laban and Tatiana Hernaiz have launched Spanish production company BravaHouse, with the new outfit specialising in creative consultancy, executive production and strategic distribution.

Described as a “media one-stop shop,” the prodco will bring the founders’ Brazilian and Spanish heritage to both scripted and unscripted content.

Laban started her entertainment career at production houses in São Paulo, before joining Netflix Brazil and later relocating to Spain as the streamer’s creative manager for local-language originals. There she oversaw around 25 series, including The Asunta Case, Raising Voices, Breathless and Machos Alpha.

Hernaiz, meanwhile, has held sales roles at Banijay Rights, Passion Distribution and All3Media International. Later, she led content acquisitions for southern Europe at Netflix and was head of copros and international business at iZen Group.

At BravaHouse, Laban and Hernaiz will leverage their experience in concept development, business strategy and global market positioning to bring TV projects to international audiences.

The prodco claims to have more than 60 active projects underway across 14 countries. It is collaborating with LGBTQ+ streaming service OutTV to support its international expansion, as well as developing a pipeline of microdrama content.

Laban said: “We’ve been incredibly lucky in our careers to work on stories that have transcended borders, bridged cultures and driven change. With BravaHouse, we continue that mission by greenhousing the best creativity.”

Hernaiz said: “The strongest stories emerge from the alignment of creative vision, compelling storytelling, outstanding production and a clear understanding of audiences. At BravaHouse, we put our experience at the service of all these contributors to amplify their voices globally.”
