Ex-FilmRise exec Einhorn takes acquisitions and innovations role at Shout! Studios

Former FilmRise executive Max Einhorn has been named senior VP of acquisitions and innovations at LA-based producer and distributor Shout! Studios.

In the newly created role, Einhorn will focus on the company’s content acquisition strategy, including licensing, unscripted coproductions, acquisitions, creator content partnerships and exploring new development opportunities.

He will report to Shout! Studios CEO Garson Foos and executive VP of business and legal affairs David McIntosh.

In addition to Foos and McIntosh, he will work closely alongside Julie Dansker, senior VP of streaming and content strategy; Jordan Fields, senior VP of acquisitions and originals; and Jeff Peisch, senior VP of programming and new business development.

Einhorn previously spent a decade with New York-headquartered AVoD streaming company FilmRise in a variety of roles, including VP of acquisitions and later head of content. He shifted into a strategic advisor role in May, at the same time as founding consultancy firm Dangerous Ideas, which advises production companies on how they can make generative AI part of their workflows.

In addition to its distribution and production business, Shout! Studios (fka Shout! Factory) also operates streaming platform Shout! TV and a portfolio of FAST channels.
