Ex-CTC exec walks Red Carpet

MIPTV: The former head of animation at Russian broadcaster CTC Media has joined local film and TV producer Red Carpet Studio to oversee its animation output.

Natalia Ivanova-Dostoevskaya has been appointed vice-general producer in charge of animation business development at Red Carpet Studio.

In the coming years, the firm is aiming to create a minimum of two animated series, including one for the web, plus a feature film and mobile games, with all planned to have international potential.

Anton Kalinkin, general producer at Red Carpet Studio, said the company had already partnered with Russian and international children’s television networks on the projects, which will be presented at MipJunior and Mipcom in October.

During Ivanova-Dostoevskaya’s tenure at CTC, the animated series Kid-e-Cats was launched internationally and is now airing in 170 countries worldwide.
