Ex-All3Media International exec Maria Ishak to head Asacha Media copro efforts

European production house Asacha Media Group has hired former All3Media International exec Maria Ishak as head of international content and coproductions.

Ishak will lead Asacha’s search for coproduction and co-funding opportunities, both externally and internally between producers within the group, helping to grow the pan-European business.

In the newly created role, Ishak will work closely with Asacha’s production companies across Europe and the UK, including French producers Mintee Studio and Kabo Family, Italian prodcos Picomedia and Stand By Me, and UK producers Red Planet Pictures and Wag Entertainment.

Ishak joins Asacha from All3Media International where, as senior VP for North America, she helped develop and execute the company’s coproduction strategy and was responsible for doubling regional revenues while managing distribution for over 20,000 hours of programming.

Ishak has over 15 years’ experience in programme distribution, coproduction and deficit financing, having also worked as VP of business development at Blue Chalk Media and VP of sales and acquisitions for North America at Passion Distribution. She started her career at Sony Pictures Entertainment, before moving to Fremantle Media.
