Régnault replaces Alexandra Lebret, who stepped down after more than two decades in the post earlier this year.
Working from Brussels, Régnault is tasked with expanding networking opportunities and professional services for members, strengthening partnerships with major industry events and organisations, and deepening the EPC’s engagement with European policymakers.
With extensive experience in policy and advocacy within the audiovisual sector, she began her career as a European public affairs consultant before taking on a role as a policy officer at the European Commission.
In 2014, she joined the CNC (French National Centre of Cinema) to head European affairs, where she played a key role in advocating for the interests of the French audio-visual sector within EU policymaking.
From 2019 to 2025, Régnault served as secretary general of the European Film Agency Directors Association.
Dariusz Jablonski, president of the EPC board of directors, said: “Her expertise and vision align perfectly with our primary mission to amplify the voice of independent producers in Europe.”
Carlotta Calori, VP of the EPC board of directors, said: “A very warm welcome to Julie-Jeanne Régnault. Her enthusiasm, competence, and energy will help us navigate the challenges ahead and create an even stronger home for our family of independent European producers.”
Régnault said: “I am honoured to join the EPC, a unique platform that unites some of the most talented independent European producers across cinema and television.
“These inspiring leaders are at the heart of Europe’s creative dynamism. I look forward to serving this incredible community and advocating for ambitious European audiovisual policies that uphold our shared values at the heart of our common European identity—freedom of creation and speech, European cooperation and solidarity, cultural and linguistic diversity.”
