European, Oz buyers pick up Gangnam Project

NEWS BRIEF: Broadcasters NRK in Norway, Finland’s YLE, TV3 Group in the Baltics, France Télévisions and Australia’s ABC have all acquired K-pop-inspired tween live-action series Gangnam Project (10×30′).

Produced by Pillango Productions and Aircraft Pictures for CBC Kids in Canada and CBBC in the UK, Gangnam Project is a coming-of-age dramedy set in Korea. It tells the story of a Canadian/Korean teen who hopes to connect with her Korean heritage and lands an opportunity to become a K-pop student in South Korea. Paris-based Federation Kids & Family, part of Federation Studios, distributes the series.
