Espresso Media acquires Cardinal Releasing music docs

Link Wray: Rock Prophet

NEWS BRIEF: UK factual distributor Espresso Media International has agreed a deal to acquire music documentary specialist Cardinal Releasing’s content catalogue.

The deal includes two new titles: Beyond the Decks, a profile on DJs working within the global house and techno scene, and Link Wray: Rock Prophet, about the Native American musician admired by guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page. Cardinal’s back catalogue comprises 35 hours of biopics, live shows and artist profiles including six-episode show Classic Artists, Beside Bowie: The Mick Ronson Story (1×102’) and BB King: The Life of Reilly (1×120’).
