Espresso lands trio of Asian deals for documentaries

Investigative film India’s Forgotten People looks at the vast divide between rich and poor in India

NEWS BRIEF: UK-based distributor Espresso Media International has sealed a trio of sales to broadcasters across Asia, with titles going to Discovery Asia as well as public service broadcasters in Japan and Taiwan.

Indian documentary India’s Forgotten People (1×52’) has been acquired by Discovery Asia, where it will air tomorrow. NHK in Japan, meanwhile, has taken docs My Beautiful Stutter (1×52’), A Message to the Stars (1×52’) and cryptocurrency-themed Dead Man’s Switch (1×78’/52’), while PTS in Taiwan has licensed My Beautiful Stutter, Amazonia Undercover (1×90’) and End of the Line: The Women of Standing Rock (1×90’/52’).
