Escapade Media throws some shapes to Wedding Dancers in deal with Mermaid Pictures

Australian development and distribution company Escapade Media has signed a deal with UK scripted prodco Mermaid Pictures to launch two of its shows at Mipcom.

Factual entertainment series Wedding Dancers (10×52’) see celebrity choreographers work with couples to create bespoke dances to transform their big day into spectacular performances.

Deadly Messages (8×60’), meanwhile, is a cosy crime series which follows the sleuthing skills of Pushpa Babbar, a former Delhi detective who now cracks cold cases uncovered online in the UK.

Mermaid Pictures, based in Monmouthshire, Wales, was launched last year by writer and director Jo Southwell and producer Sara Gibbings for the development and production of their joint slates.
